The Coaches Lunch is an informal but focused meeting of coaches and those interested in coaching. At the lunch you can hear new ideas, share your own thoughts and approaches to the coaching profession and meet new colleagues.-

Please book as soon as possible to secure your place.

Supervision is a standard component of  long standing therapeutic professions. It has not though been widely seen as essential in the field of coaching. Despite what seems to be a rapid move towards a more rigorous and academic approach to coaching there are large numbers of coaches who do not include supervision within their regular practice and ongoing professional development.
It is sometimes seen as onerous and expensive. This though is not the prevailing view and large numbers of coaches are beginning to see just how vital supervision can be in the development of themselves as coaches as well as being a valuable support to them personally. And of course there is the benefit to their clients.

As the commercial market continues to mature we are seeing that supervision programmes and structures are seen as essential for coaching in ever growing numbers of organisations. If it becomes the ‘must have’ component in coaching relationships we will see a surge in demand for good coach supervisors as well as a widening of the coach supervision training offerings.

How this develops will be in large part down to how much all coaches get involved in the debate and activities that are shaping coach supervisions future.

COMMENTS ABOUT THE LUNCHESd

“…… such an enjoyable event on Wednesday.  Very good to be amongst interesting people with different approaches in their thinking and work.  Will hope to get to the next session too.”                            Fay Young

"The Coaches Lunch was an excellent event in all respects: from the ease of booking on online, the stature of the venue, the quality of the food, the warmth of the welcome, but most importantly of all the event itself was first rate: a genuinely engaging session on a critical topic – creativity – for coaches with the right balance between input from the presenters and interaction and feedback from the coaches present. The 40 minutes allotted for the debate quickly and effortlessly became a full hour without strain. I shall certainly be attending again – and I am bringing a friend along. Hope to see you there too!”                                                                           James Sale
